TITLE: ‘HIGH SUMMER FLOWERS’

10am to 3.30pm.
Based in the stunning Garden Barn, with displays of seasonal cut flowers, this watercolour painting workshop also has immediate access to the stunning gardens, with their fine summer planting. Ideal for en plein air painting. (weather permitting).
Designed for participants with a range of painting experience, (beginner to advanced) who wish to develop further their watercolour skills. An opportunity to discover new techniques and approaches with which to enjoy this medium, in an expressive and spontaneous way. Providing demonstrations throughout the day, Melanie will show how through careful observation and experimentation with colour, tone and markmaking; catching the essence of a plant, flowers or garden scene, is achievable. A ‘multiple studies’ approach is encouraged.
Melanie will be on hand throughout the day to guide and encourage, with plenty of individual tuition within the group.
About the Artist
Melanie is an Artist /Tutor, working in watercolour, drawn media and oils. She loves to paint from nature/life. Known for her landscape and equine painting skills, she also enjoys exploring natural life and floral subjects. Celebrating the incredible colour palette and form that can be found in the garden, during summer months. Her work is exhibited in galleries and Open Studio events.
